All Cynthia Thomas, Featured Posts, How To

If you don’t now how to clean in an organized way, it can lead to making cleaning a time consuming activity. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Once you know hot to clean each room quickly, you can save yourself a lot of time and effort when it comes to cleaning your home.

Organized cleaning is crucial to saving time. When you clean in an organized way, it means that you have a plan of attack for cleaning your home. This is important because you know the best way to clean each room efficiently and effectively. Also, when you do this, it will also means that you can save yourself a lot of time and money.

Step One: Organize Your Cleaning Supplies and Materials

One of the most time consuming aspects of a cleaning task is making sure that you have the right materials for the job. This may mean that you need to go out and buy more materials for cleaning. If you don’t want to spend extra money, the first step is to figure out what materials you have already; then, learn how best to use those materials.

The first thing that you want to do is organize your supplies so that they are easy to find when it comes time for cleaning. Try storing them in bins or baskets so that they are easily accessible. Get together and store together like type cleaning supplies. For example, dust rags in one container, liquid cleaners together, etc. Keep bathroom cleaners in the bathroom, kitchen cleaners in the kitchen, and so forth.

You’ll save yourself time simply not having to run all over the house to find different type cleaning supplies for different rooms of the house.

Step Two: Start with the Visible That Needs Cleaning

The easiest way to get maximum cleaning impact is to start with the visible that you can plainly see that needs cleaning. This means that you want to focus your time into cleaning the most visible places first, so you can get a good start. When you start with the visible that you see, you’ll save time because cleaning up the obvious is quicker than looking for the not so obvious.

For example; the kitchen may have dirty dishes waiting to be washed. The living room might have kid’s toys laying around. The bedroom or bathroom might have dirty clothes waiting to be picked up and washed.

Start with what you see that need picked up or cleaned up, and you’re moving along much quicker than starting with less obvious cleaning needs.

Step Three: Cleaning Floors and the Dirty Places

The next step is to grab that underlying dirt. That means sweeps, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down all those icky places (like the bathroom).

The quickest way to get the sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming done is to do the entire house for each thing. You’ll get more cleaning accomplished much quicker if you’re not stopping and switching cleaning gears.

Sweep all of the house at once, rather than go back and forth between the broom, the mop, and the vacuum cleaner. That just slows you down. The same for mopping. Mop all of the house. When you’re ready to vacuum, run the vacuum cleaner over all the carpet in the house, rather than one room at a time.

Best Speedy Cleaning Tips

Before starting your cleaning routine, be sure you already have all cleaning supplies needed for the job. It’s always a good idea to keep cleaning supplies stocked so that you don’t run out and find yourself in need of something and not have it.

Group cleaning like type tasks together saves time. For example, if you’re in the kitchen and wiping the dining table, wipe down everything in the kitchen that you would be cleaning. Don’t stop and go from room to room and then back to the kitchen to wipe more. While wiping down the dining table, wipe the kitchen island, wipe the kitchen counters, wipe the stove range, etc.

Prioritize chores that need to be done, and multi-task chores. Grab the clothes that need washed and while they’re washing work on cleaning what needs to be clean by the time that particular load is ready to come of the dryer, folded, and put away. That way you don’t have a load (or more) of clothes sitting around.

House cleaning doesn’t have to take you all day. In fact, once you learn to organize your cleaning, you’ll find that most rooms can be cleaned in less than ten minutes. Organizing your house cleaning routine will save you a lot of time and effort.
