Most people like to snack. But it’s not always easy finding healthy snacks, mainly because we often just don’t know where to look. And if we do find healthy snacks, are the yummy? After all, what’s the point of calling it a snack if it’s not tasty? 🙂
So, I received a large UrthBox sample subscription box to check out. I was honestly surprised at just how much was packed into this box. It was a lot!
The UrthBox sample box that I received contained various snacks, and even drink mixes. All of the snacks were healthy, such as: vegan snacks, sugar-free snacks, gluten free snacks, weight loss drinks, low carb snacks, etc.
Some of the snacks and drink mixes included were popcorn, protein bars, shake mixes, flavored water type mixes, an energy drink, cookie and cookie dough bites, snack puffs, chips, crackers, ginger chews, dates, gravy mix, gum, and more.
Taste is an important aspect of snacks, and even more so for healthy snacks. You want a healthy snack that tastes good. I am happy to say that most of the snacks in this box were actually tasty and yummy. The puffs were good, along with the crackers. The gravy mix was also quite tasty. The energy drink was quite good also. I enjoyed the protein bars. I confess that the cookie dough bites were so yummy and most certainly my favorite snack from the box.
I don’t care for dates much, or ginger, so to me the dates and ginger chews were not quite so good or tasty, But I suspect that if you like dates and ginger, you’d likely love these. 🙂
I was thinking these snacks would be great to have on hand for lots of reasons. The fact that it’s a UrthBox subscription box means no having to go shop for healthy snacks. The snacks would obviously be great for home, but they could also easily be packed in a school lunch box, taken on road trips, packed to take fishing or camping, even to a movie outing (hide them in your handbag LOL), etc.
This large box was SO full of treats that it could easily last the entire month, even with a family. That being the case, I’d say it’s a decent value for the money. Of course as with most subscription boxes, it might seem pricey upon first look. But if you taken into consideration that you aren’t having to take the time to shop for these products and that they’re delivered to you already packed up nicely for you (someone basically does the *shopping* for you and packs it into a box and sends it to you ready to enjoy), then you can see the value of the UrthBox subscription box deal.
I really like the idea of not having to take time out of my busy schedule and shop for multiple items that I want, when I can get a subscription box delivered to me stuffed with all sorts of healthy delicious items.
Overall, I’d rate this sample box that I received a 95 out of 100. The only con I can truthfully see with the box is that a tiny amount out of all the many items in the box were not something I would eat. Since 95% of the items in the box were quite good (and healthy), to me it’s a winner box. Adding to that, if you have other family in the home, chances are very high that the box will be consumed, because someone’s going to like something that you might not. 🙂
